"A menu inspired by indigenous flavors? Yes, please. Thank you. While staying at El Perdido, we walked over to their on-site restaurant, Coyote, and I was immediately blown away. The atmosphere alone feels unreal. Massive boulders, towering cacti, and palm trees are perfectly placed to create a cocoon-like cave under the open desert sky. It’s hard to believe this exists in the middle of Baja. The menu is deeply thoughtful and rooted in indigenous spices and traditions, which made the experience feel both intentional and special. We ordered several plates to share, including the octopus taco, croquetas, and the fire-roasted chicken - which is an absolute must. This is not a typical tourist restaurant. It feels like being welcomed into a friend’s home. As the evening cooled, they brought out sarapes without us even asking. The service was warm, generous, and genuinely proud. I ended up chatting with our waiter longer than planned because his love for Baja and its culture was infectious, and you can immediately tell when a team truly loves where they work. Coyote is the kind of place you come for incredible food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave feeling grateful. Do not miss the chance to experience a restaurant that is honoring and preserving indigenous culture, one unforgettable bite at a time."

"We had a hard time finding this place, but once we did, we were so pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and level of service. It has a small, diverse menu. All of the food was prepared excellently and had great flavor. My husband had the clam chowder which had chorizo and so many clams that it was almost unbelievable. It’s not at all what you’re used to in the United States but he loved it! I had the steak which was cooked perfectly, and all of the sides were amazing. Our server was Israel, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive!"
